Paul Maselli, admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1986, co-founded the firm along with Perry S. Warren in 1998. In his more than 30 years of practice, Paul has substantial experience representing commercial banks and financial institutions in Federal and State Court litigation, commercial lending, loan workout and bankruptcy matters.

Paul’s experience in representing banks is valuable in the services he provides to financially-stressed businesses and individuals in workouts, strategic negotiations, reorganizations, dissolutions and bankruptcies. Paul has successfully represented businesses in reorganizing through Chapter 11 including a precious metal refinery, a retail chain, a transportation company and a plastics manufacturer; to name a few. He has assisted companies in reorganizing outside of bankruptcy including a landscape supply company, an architectural woodworking firm, a software engineering firm and many others.

Paul’s practice for the past several years has expanded to representing businesses and individuals pursuing recovery of damages caused by the malpractice of their lawyers and accountants. With the assistance of his litigation team, Paul has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients in cases focused on professional negligence.

He shares from his great wealth of experience as a frequent author and lecturer on a legal topics related to bankruptcy, creditors rights, commercial law and professional malpractice. Within the firm, Paul enjoys training and serving as a mentor to attorneys newly admitted to practice.

Paul served for five years on the Board of Trustees of Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey, an organization that promotes great childhoods, positive parenting and healthy child development. Currently Paul serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Advancing Opportunities, a non-profit that serves New Jersey citizens with disabilities.

In 2020, the New Jersey Supreme Court appointed Paul to the District VII Ethics Committee. He currently serves as a member of the committee.

Prior to attending law school, Paul worked as a reporter for The Princeton Packet.

Admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Districts of New Jersey and Eastern Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Author, “Representing Secured Creditors in Chapter 11,” in the New Jersey Bankruptcy Manual published by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
